iPhone 5:very likely new features

iPhone 5: 10 very likely new featuresThe new iPhone is right around the corner now. Apple has officially confirmed its September 12 event, so it's pretty much inevitable that by the end of the week, we'll know everything about the iPhone 5 and more. But one thing has been very different this year - the rumors we're hearing are quite consistent. This matters, because last year, for example, it was the usual amount of random rumors such as "bigger screen", "LTE", "widgets", a bunch of fake mock-ups...

Well, this year, we're pretty much seeing the same prototype leak over and over again, which kind of makes us think that Apple's usually leak-proof security may not be as tight these days. And in case this isn't just part of a secret plan for Apple — to continuously leak this prototype, so that everyone thinks that this will be the iPhone 5, and then surprisingly unveil a completely different device — we think this will be the first year ever when we have such accurate information prior to the iPhone launch.

With that said, let's go through the new features that are expected to be part of the new iPhone. Check them out by cycling through the gallery below!

What’s new with the iPhone 4S?

After a number of changes, Apple finally launched its outstanding “Apple iPhone 4S.” No doubt, iPhone users were having many expectations from the coming version of iPhone, but still, iPhone 4s is proved to be the best ever! The iPhone is reloaded with more power, more fun and more control with its user-friendly features.iphone 4s What’s new with the iPhone 4S?
The makers of iPhone 4S have made a lot of changes and improvements by giving it an entirely new look with state of the art performance and impressive additions. The iPhone 4S come up with the most speedy processor, a new antenna and an improved camera. You can have this awesome phone in two colors; black and white.

Siri

It is a voice assistant that is more than other handy features in your iPhone 4S. Siri is designed to follow your commands and bring required information, which you are asking for. It’s an amazing feature and can facilitate you like an assistant. Now, it’s up to you what you want to ask, as it can be some random questions, addresses, or reminders.
Interestingly, Siri can find facts from the famous sites like Wikipedia and give you the required information like exact difference between two places. After its great success, Apple is working efficiently to control it through your Bluetooth or car integration. If it happens, then it will become a major milestone for Apple iPhone.

8 megapixel camera

So, what’s up with the new and improved 8 megapixel camera? Isn’t it exciting enough to take pictures in true colors? Of course, everybody likes new camera with more megapixels and better image quality. The new camera has a flash, accurate auto focus, backside-illuminated CMOS sensor, and f/2.4 aperture lens. Its new hybrid IR filter has made more accurate color accuracy. This new camera also includes improved white balancing with face detection and built-in image processing.

Long battery life

The new battery is an hour longer than the previous version of iPhone, but it’s important to know the nature of work you want to pursue. If you are surfing internet through Wi-Fi, then its battery will drain fast! Similarly, the iOS 5 and A5 chipsets are designed to give you the best results in accordance with the improved battery timings. It’s easy to make more calls and do a lot of stuff without thinking about the battery drainage.

Dual-band phone

The iPhone 4S can easily support CDMA and GSM, which proves it as a dual-band phone. Hence, a lot of users can use it with greater ease, whether they are using Sprint or Verizon. Similarly, for GSM users, it can support HSDPA 14.4.

Parental Control

If you don’t want your child to handle it freely, then you can enable “parental control facility” on your iPhone 4S. Obviously, there are different things and options available on your mobile, which you don’t want them to see. Hence, you can make parental control restrictions on FaceTime, Camera, Game Center, YouTube, Movies, Safari, Location Services and other similar apps on your iPhone 4S.
Parental control is a major plus for iPhone 4S and can protect your mobile from unnecessary use in your child’s hand.

Software updates

Software updates is a necessity of any mobile phone. If you want to update your iPhone 4S, then you can do it with greater ease. All you have to do is to connect your mobile with your PC or Mac and update it by opening iTunes. You can easily get what you want through iPhone 4S software updates. Luckily, this time, iPhone is not bound to have a PC or Mac and can activate its device wirelessly. It’s a new beginning of convergence that the whole world has never seen before.
Another feature was the real need of iPhone users from a very long time and this time, they can enjoy a “PC-free” iPhone. So, do more whether you want to edit your files or add something new like a folder in your iPhone 4S.

A global set

The iPhone 4S can be used anywhere in the world with its charming “localized” language feature. There are over 30 languages, in which, this magnificent phone can be localized. Luckily, the keyboard inside is software based and can be changed into some other language more easily and conveniently. You can switch between different languages very easily and select the language of your choice anytime you want.
For Japanese and Chinese languages, handwritten character input and contextual characters are available. Truly, it is a global set indeed!
It is a must buy version of iPhone family. If you are waiting for some other miracle to happen, then stop thinking about it. At least, there is no other phone of the same kind, which can give some tough time regarding your desired gadgets for now. So, don’t think and buy iPhone 4S. Are you going to buy one for yourself?

New iPad 4 review

new ipad review

There was much umbrage at the launch of the new iPad 4, as it basically rendered the iPad 3 obsolete mere months after launch. However, with only a minor CPU and front camera change, is there really any point thinking about upgrading?
  • iPad mini review
The question most people ask us when it comes to the new iPad 4 is: what's different from the old one? Or the iPad 2, for that matter?
Well, in this case it's pretty easy: there's a Retina Display that makes everything look superbly crisp, an updated A6X processor with much superior performance, the same 5MP camera on the rear with a 1.3MP HD sensor on the front now to replace the VGA effort.
  • 10 best tablet PCs in the world today
Oh, and the new iPad 4 is now running iOS 6 out of the box (well, it's also on the likes of the iPhone 5 and iPad mini, but hey, we've already reviewed those, and you don't really care unless it's a new iPad, do you?)

The design of the new iPad 4 isn't really anything different from the original duo from Apple's tablet range. Actually, while we're thinking about it, it looks almost identical to the iPad 2 – to the point you'd struggle to tell them apart when turned off.
However, in the hand, there's a little bit of a difference, especially when it comes to the weight. The new iPad is nearly 60g heavier than the second iteration, and while it's not terrible, it does add a little arm strain during a marathon movie session.

New iPad 4 review

Sometimes you become accustomed to the weight of a device if you use it enough, and then the whole debacle becomes a completely none issue.
However the weight of the iPad 4 is still noticeable even a few months after first get
ting it - pick it up and hold it for the duration of a movie and that unmistakable heft is still there to haunt you.

Retina Display

Before we get onto all the normal insight over the frame of the new iPad 4, it's worth talking about one top feature: the Retina Display.
Apple has packed a huge amount more pixels into the 9.7-inch screen - 1536 x 2048 to be exact. However, despite the fact that the Cupertino brand makes a big thing about the 330 PPI density of the iPhone 4S, we're looking at a screen that's technically a lot less sharp than its smartphone brethren - around 264PPI.

New iPad 4 review

Apple has got around this fact by stating that the screen is meant to be held 15 inches from the face, rather than the 10 inches the iPhone is supposed to be from your eyes, and as such the sharpness is the same.
Given the fact the term 'Retina Display' really isn't a legally binding term, we don't care. What matters is the effect - and it's one of the most impressive we've seen on a tablet to date. If someone took an iPad, printed out a really hi-res image of an iOS system and stuck it on the front, we'd struggle to tell the difference - it's superb, and even squinting up close you'll be hard pushed to notice any pixelation.
The colour reproduction will also appeal to many, as it's pretty close to reality - it lacks the punch of the Super AMOLED HD screens seen on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for instance, but it will depend on personal preference as to whether that's a good thing.

New iPad 4 review

We like the vivid colours of Samsung's screens, but we know plenty of people that loathe them too.
The main thing is things like internet browsing; photo viewing and movie sessions are all much, much improved over the iPad 2, and is one of the main reasons to pick up the new iPad.

Design

The new iPad, as we said, is only marginally thicker and a little heavier than the iPad 2, and if you pick it up with no knowledge of the former, you'll likely be mighty impressed.
The rest of the design is premium too - given you can be paying nearly £700 / $AU900 for a top end model, it needs to seem like a worthwhile investment, and it does.

new ipad review

There's also the new Lightning connector on offer, which brings the smaller, faster port for all your needs... unless your need is to use you recently purchased dock, in which case you'll need to fork out for an adaptor.
The curved edges, the oleophobic scratch-proof glass and the aluminium chassis are all the kind of thing that some Android tablets have tried to ape and failed. Of course, many will prefer the feather-light frames of some of the Samsung models but, like the screen, it really comes down to personal preference.

New iPad 4 review

The buttonry on the new iPad is pretty sparse though - we're talking four buttons and that's your lot.
The iconic home button is back once again, despite rumours of its demise, and is easy to reach and hit within the thick bezel.

New iPad 4 review

The rest of the buttons are all clustered tightly together in the top left-hand corner of the new iPad, with the rocker/volume key, the mute/orientation switch and power/lock key all within an inch of one another.
As you can see, Apple has been pretty efficient with the button placement, with all of them performing more than one function. And they say the iPad can't multi-task... tsk.

Apple’s iPad mini

Apple’s iPad mini is here, and the family resemblance is clear. Slotting in-between the 9.7-inch iPad and the 4-inch iPod touch, the new 7.9-inch iPad mini further closes the ranks of the Apple mobile range, and we wasted no time grabbing some hands-on play following its breathless unveil in San Jose this morning. Read on for some first impressions.
The design is slick and cohesive, with the unibody aluminum back plate curving sinuously around and meeting the glass fascia: everything about the aesthetic emphasizes the relative simplicity of those two halves, though there’s obviously plenty of engineering gone into making them work together. At first glance, the narrow side bezels look somewhat odd, but they make far more sense when you actually pick the iPad mini up.
You can grip it comfortably in one hand, fingers wrapping around the edges just as we’ve praised Amazon’s Kindles and other small ereader tablets for in the past. That, together with the relatively light weight compared to the full-sized iPad, means holding the iPad mini one-handed for extended periods should be comfortable.
The resolution may be the “old” 1024 x 768 of the original iPad and iPad 2, but it’s squeezed into a smaller screen, so individual pixels aren’t so noticeable. Viewing angles are as broad as we’ve come to expect from an IPS panel, and iOS 6 doesn’t look too cramped, either. Steve Jobs may have been scathing about “tweeners” in the past, but – perhaps unsurprisngly, given iOS is also used on the far smaller iPhone and iPod touch – it works just fine on the iPad mini.
Apple didn’t dip under the $300 mark as many hoped, but the premium materials – versus the more common plastics of Android slates – do help differentiate the iPad mini some. Those already invested in the iOS or OS X ecosystem will obviously have a vested interest in opting for Apple’s smaller tablet, too. We’ll know more when we have a chance to play with a review unit, but for now the iPad mini is ticking plenty of the boxes we were hoping it might.

Apple iPad 4 Wi-Fi only tablet review

I didn’t get the iPad at first. When the tablet was first announced, I was interested but couldn’t see the value to me. I had an e-book reader, I had a phone on which I could watch films while travelling and listen to music, and I had a laptop for everything else. Why, I wondered, did I need a tablet too?
I was happy to take possession of a first-gen iPad a few months later - I won it in a raffle, oddly enough - but I thought that, after a brief play, it would just sit and gather dust.
Apple iPad with Retina Display
Not the iPad 4, the 'iPad with Retina Display'
How wrong I was.
To the tablet sceptics, all I can say is: I was one of your number, but no longer. My laptop gets plenty of use and so did the e-reader - unlike a ten-inch tablet, it fits in coat pockets - until I availed myself of a Nexus 7 earlier this year, but my iPad has become my prime home device.
I read my newspaper on it long I before head off to work and pass by a newsagent. I read magazines on it. I read lots of comics on it - like the papers and the mags, they are so much better viewed in portrait, in your hand, than on a notebook landscape display, or on a monochrome E Ink screen.
Apple iPad with Retina Display
Now with added Lightning
The tablet’s speed and big, colour display makes flipping around computer reference books so much more practical than it is on an e-reader, though the ability to take the equivalent of six inch-and-a-half thick books to work with no strain is much the same with either device.
While my phone remains my main music playback device, watching a stack of catch-up TV programmes and films on a tablet is a much more pleasant experience than the phone and certainly than the ropey back-of-the-seat screens you get on most flights these days. Travel by a no-frills airline and you don’t even get that.
Apple iPad with Retina Display
Not a laptop/e-reader/netbook replacement
The iPad, since upgraded to the thinner, lighter iPad 2, is used to check multiple email accounts, for a lot of web browsing and such, and occasionally I let the nipper play games on it. Once in a while, I hook up a Bluetooth keyboard and use it to report from events. It’s not an efficient a writer’s tool as a multi-window OS device is, but it’ll do at a pinch.
So, for me, my iPad has become a crucial part of my working and home lives. It has taken over certain roles that I used to put other devices to, but hasn’t superseded any of them entirely. I’ve never believed in a one-size-fits-all approach to technology. I won’t limit myself to one device when there’s another that’s better suited to the task in hand.
